Kevin Klink joined Integrated Technologies, Inc. (ITI) in 2005; however, he has also worked with most of ITI’s senior staff close to 30 years. His areas of responsibility include strategic planning and development of ITI’s process engineering tools and systems. His other areas of responsibility include new business development, key client support, and project management, and he provides conceptual and detailed engineering support on select projects.
Kevin’s expertise includes process/facility and multi-industry master planning and modeling, multidiscipline project planning and management, process compliance, process analysis and improvement/optimization, lean and green manufacturing, sustainability, process automation and control, pollution prevention and control, process solution maintenance and rejuvenation, process water and rinse water management, energy management, waste management, air emissions management, and litigation support.
Kevin has more than 30 years of consulting and process engineering experience working for dozens of private industry clients in aerospace, electronics, automotive, metals, and other manufacturing industries and for several US and foreign government agencies. He also has considerable expertise and experience in technology assessment, development, and testing; developing and applying expert and knowledge-based systems, decision tools and cost estimating tools for process alternative selection and evaluation; development and implementation of software systems and training courses for process modeling and cost estimating; process procedures and operator training; and process commissioning, start-up, and operations. Kevin has participated in dozens of projects for the surface finishing industry. ranging from advanced planning to design and implementation support. He provided principal consultant leadership and technical support for development of Plato’s Process Planner and ProcessPro, expert software for the simulation and optimization of wet manufacturing processes, and for CORA (US EPA expert system and cost model software) and RACER (US DOD cost model and technology reference software). Prior to joining ITI, Kevin worked for Ch2M Hill for 23 years.
Kevin has authored numerous publications and major technical presentations and has prepared and delivered training courses and workshops on topics including metal finishing plant master planning and design, specialized process technology topics, industrial pollution prevention, process modeling and cost estimating software, decision support tools for enhanced process evaluation and design, and managing uncertainty in complex projects. He co-authored a capsule report for US EPA, Approaching Zero Discharge in Surface Finishing. He co-authored a chapter on metal finishing for the Pollution Prevention Handbook, edited by Thomas Higgins. He co-authored an AESF Course on Pollution Prevention and a workshop on Water Quality Management in Surface Finishing. He was a lead contributor to US EPA guidance manuals for process technology bench and treatability testing and for cost estimating for remedial action. He is past president of AICHE Oregon. Kevin is also an active member of National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF). He received his BS in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University.
