Breanna’s expertise includes chemical process design and simulation, environmental monitoring and characterization, water treatment, laboratory research and development, formulation and analytical chemistry, data management, project and contractor oversite, analytical sampling, quality assurance and quality control, regulatory compliance, mining, and sustainability.
Breanna has 10 years of consulting, engineering, and chemistry experience working for clients in oil and gas, mining, metals, organics manufacturing, US Department of Defense agencies, and city municipalities. Prior to joining ITI, Breanna worked in environmental consulting, semiconductor and rare earth research and development, and mining. She has experience using chemistry and engineering to develop water treatment, purification, and recycling systems. She has performed feasibility/treatability studies, pilot studies, and scale-up. Breanna served as project chemist and data manager for many monitoring, characterization, and remediation projects. She has assisted in creating and implementing various QA/QC programs and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and required certifications. Additionally, she has laboratory experience with synthesis, characterization, analysis of aqueous and solid matrices, and review of analytical data.
Breanna is 40-Hour HAZWOPER and EPA Office of Emergency and Remedial Response certified. She co-authored the Journal of Physical Chemistry C article, “Hollow Gold-Silver Double-Shell Nanospheres: Structure, Optical Absorption, and Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering.” She received a BS in Chemistry and a BA in Legal Studies from University of California, Santa Cruz; and she received her MS in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
