Project Mechanical Engineer
Colin Masseau joined Integrated Technologies, Inc. (ITI) in 2017. His areas of responsibility include supporting the successful delivery of project Design and Procurement Packages. He contributes to developing work products, including P&IDs, process equipment schedules (PES), design drawings, functional descriptions, procurement scopes of work, commissioning plans, O&M manuals, and technical reports. Colin also supports the successful commissioning of new systems. He is involved in engineering review, factory acceptance of fabricated equipment, installation of equipment, and functional and process commissioning.
Colin’s expertise includes mechanical, process, controls and electrical engineering; reverse osmosis systems; water treatment; project coordination; technical procurement of equipment; fabrication management; and equipment programming and commissioning.
Colin has 10 years of experience in process and mechanical design, electrical engineering, and controls integration in the field of water treatment for industrial and municipal use. He has designed and commissioned over 30 water plants ranging in size from 3,500 to 3 million gallons per day (product) with various processes. His expertise includes water treatment equipment design, 3D modeling of water plants, and water analyses. He has regularly utilized water treatment equipment technologies that include media filtration, automatic screens, cartridge filters, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis, and chemical dosing. He has managed engineering and fabrication staff to ensure proper design and fabrication of equipment. He has been responsible for all engineering tasks, from process design (P&IDs and PFDs), mechanical design of equipment, and three phase power design to automation controls design. He has been involved with programming logic controllers, calibrating instruments, wiring, and programming motor control centers on sites around the world.
Colin’s technical skills include: AutoCAD (3D and 2D); design basis and projection software (Toray DS2, Dow ROSA); Opto22 PAC Project; process and instrumentation diagrams; process flow diagrams; single line diagrams, and control loop diagrams. Colin received his BS in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University.
