Douglas Allen (Doug) joined Integrated Technologies, Inc. (ITI) in 2013. His areas of responsibility include strategic planning and oversight of ITI’s quality management and site safety systems, as well as management other ITI risks and liabilities, intellectual property, and infrastructure. His other areas of responsibility include support of the ITI Management team in the development and implementation of new tools, procedures, and systems to support ITI project delivery.
Doug’s expertise includes working and communicating with corporate management, legal counsel, government regulatory agencies and other diverse stakeholders; management of work scopes for multi-million dollar investigation, remediation and construction projects involving multi-disciplinary professionals and cross-functional teams; and leadership, guidance and mentoring of staff and associates. He is also skilled in the use of database, decision analysis, spreadsheet, graphics and presentation, project and case management, and word processing and publication software.
Doug has 30 years of experience providing professional consulting and project management services to private and government sector clients. He has conducted and managed investigations, due diligence, damages valuations, feasibility studies, and remedial designs. He has knowledge and experience in a broad range of industries and facilities, including automotive, aviation, chemical, electronic, and metallurgical manufacturing; energy (power utilities and natural gas pipelines); pulp and paper; petrochemical refining; transportation infrastructure (ports/harbors/navigable waterways, railways, airports); former manufacture red gas plants (MGPs); municipal and industrial landfills; solvent reclamation and recycling facilities; and wood treating facilities. Prior to joining ITI, Doug was the President and Managing Principal of Theseus Consulting, Inc., a professional services corporation he formed in 1994. He began his career in 1983 as an environmental consultant for the E.C. Jordan Co.
Doug received his Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Engineering degrees from Dartmouth College, and his BA in biological/biomedical sciences from the University of Vermont. He has also received formal training in mediation from JAMS and in arbitration from the American Bar Association. Doug is a licensed professional engineer, and a registered patent agent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Doug is also an active member of National Association for Surface Finishing (NASF).
